Meet Chris Ruddell, our skilled Mobile App Developer here at Powerful. With over 30 apps under his belt for both iOS and Android platforms, Chris brings a wealth of hands-on experience to our team. He has a knack for addressing unique challenges that each platform presents and leverages the positive aspects to create user-centered mobile applications.

Chris spent four years with BigCommerce, starting as a Senior Mobile Engineer, he quickly advanced to the role of Lead Mobile Software Engineer. During his tenure there, Chris was instrumental in planning, developing, and testing the Android app for managing storefronts – a project he single-handedly brought to life within his first six months at the company. He also took part in their IPO process, offering his technological prowess to ensure the company’s success.

Chris is proficient in several programming languages, including Kotlin, Swift, Java, Objective-C, Scala, PHP, and HTML/JavaScript. He’s also a well-versed player with third-party SDKs, server-side technologies, and building Android ROMs. A true team player, Chris provides mentorship and guidance to other team members, helping to elevate the collective skill set of our team.

Chris brings his experience with multiple technologies and platforms to bear on developing mobile solutions that are tailored to our clients’ needs. He’s passionate about monitoring user feedback, making informed product and design decisions, and enhancing the mobile app experience for all users.
