Umatilla Electric Cooperative & Powerful Collaborate on Site Built for Members
HERMISTON, OR — Umatilla Electric Cooperative (UEC) is flipping the switch on a brand-new website—and it’s built to serve more than just electricity.
Designed in partnership with Powerful, the new website brings a fresh look, purposeful content, and upgraded tools that reflect UEC’s commitment to member satisfaction and regional growth. From seamless navigation to interactive tools, the updated design makes it easier for members to stay informed and connected.
“Working with the Umatilla Electric Co-op team to create a new website Uniquely Umatilla was so fun,” said Annie Watson, Project Manager at Powerful. “The team had a clear vision for the design of their new website, and it was their collaboration and feedback that truly brought the project to life. Their top goals of functionality, intuitive design, and purposeful content are clearly displayed on their new site.”
The homepage features quick access to high-priority actions like starting service, reporting outages, and viewing billing options. Custom sections like “In the Spotlight” highlight community stories and announcements, while an interactive events calendar and careers callout make it easy to explore opportunities and stay in the know.
A new Capital Credits Lookup tool allows members to search their name and instantly discover unclaimed patronage refunds. The tool reflects UEC’s commitment to cooperative principles—returning profits to the people who make the co-op possible. Most recently, UEC returned more than $1.6 million to members from past margins.
The updated Careers section also plays a vital role. As UEC continues to support infrastructure projects, small businesses, and economic development across the region, the website helps promote job openings and attract talent to a growing workforce.
From color palette to content structure, every element of the site was designed to reflect UEC’s brand and values. The result is a digital platform that feels familiar, yet completely refreshed.
