Powerful Unveils New Sunnybrook Blueprint with West Travis County PUA’s Bold Rebrand
BEE CAVE, TX — A fearless new identity meets a flexible, first-of-its-kind layout—setting a high bar for utility websites.
When West Travis County Public Utility Agency (WTCPUA) set out to redesign their website, they didn’t just want an upgrade—they wanted to make a statement. The result? A striking new visual identity and the very first website built on Powerful’s all-new Sunnybrook blueprint.
WTCPUA serves a growing customer base across western Travis and northern Hays Counties. With more than 9,700 retail water connections and 11,000 wholesale connections, clear communication and easy-to-use online tools are essential. WTCPUA also saw the redesign as a chance to sharpen how they show up—digitally and visually. They worked with Powerful to develop a confident, cohesive brand that could carry across every channel.
“The team at West Travis County PUA knew they wanted something bold and recognizable from a distance,” said Jeff Marshall, Director of Content & Design Operations at Powerful. “We created a fearless and elemental visual symbol designed for clarity and impact. I think it will become an enduring icon for the PUA.”
From that rebrand grew a natural next step: launching the agency’s site on Sunnybrook, Powerful’s newest design blueprint. Built to prioritize seasonal messaging and key initiatives, the layout features dual-colored icons, wavy accent lines, and a clean, structured format that feels both modern and intuitive.
“After West Travis County PUA’s logo redesign, we knew they’d be a great candidate for the brand new Sunnybrook blueprint,” said Stacey Horton, Designer at Powerful. “The rebrand paired so nicely with the blueprint’s visual elements. It adds a playful yet polished tone that gives their website a fresh, clean feel—and really helps it stand out.”
The new homepage puts everyday tasks front and center—making it easier for customers to pay bills, start service, or reach out with questions. Flexible promotional sections allow WTCPUA to spotlight timely updates based on their current priorities. From AMI meter FAQs to seasonal water guidelines, each feature is designed to catch the eye with bold imagery, a brief explanation, and a clear call-to-action linking to more details.
WTCPUA’s launch represents a milestone in utility website design—pairing a new brand identity with the first-ever use of Powerful’s Sunnybrook blueprint. Together, these upgrades go beyond surface-level polish. They create a unified, intuitive experience that helps WTCPUA communicate more clearly, serve more efficiently, and connect more meaningfully with the communities they support. With this bold step forward, WTCPUA has set a new benchmark for how public utilities can show up—visually, digitally, and confidently.
