A defining feature of the redesign is the department header, which allows visitors to seamlessly toggle between MLEC’s Electric and Fiber services. This clear division ensures members can quickly find relevant information, whether they are paying a bill, exploring broadband options, or checking for updates. The design is built using Powerful’s Laurelhurst Promotional blueprint, ensuring a consistent layout across both sections of the site while incorporating thoughtful distinctions to reflect their unique identities.
To enhance the visitor experience, each section maintains a distinct identity: the Electric side uses circular imagery, creating a sense of stability and tradition, while the Fiber side features dynamic diagonal designs that suggest speed and innovation. These subtle design choices, paired with the similar structure of the homepages, guide visitors intuitively through the site. The cohesive layout ensures users feel they are navigating one unified platform while the distinctions help them differentiate electric versus fiber services.

The footer includes imagery of linemen maintaining power lines, rolling fields of hay, local wildlife, and serene lakes, all capturing the cooperative’s commitment to its members and community.
