Powerful Redesigns Heber Light & Power’s Website Ahead of New Office Grand Opening
HEBER CITY, UT — Heber Light & Power has launched a redesigned website as the community-owned utility prepares to celebrate the grand opening of its new office building. Developed in partnership with Powerful, the new web design gives electric utility customers a clear path to service information, billing resources, outage updates, public meeting materials and community news.
Heber Light & Power has served Heber Valley since 1909. The utility provides safe, reliable energy to nearly 16,000 customers across Heber City, Midway City and Charleston Town. As the valley continues to grow, Heber Light & Power plans ahead for changing infrastructure and electric needs while remaining focused on responsible, community-centered service.
“This site brings together goals in such a beautiful way!” said Annie Watson of Powerful. “The Heber Light & Power team was looking to provide their customers with a website that was professional, functional, yet recognizable.”
The website reflects that direction through a premium design rooted in Heber Valley. Familiar red, white and blue colors connect the site to Heber Light & Power’s logo. Mountain imagery and local landscape visuals reinforce the utility’s connection to the area it serves. The homepage guides customers to frequently visited resources, including service applications, outage information, net metering details, policies and construction information.
“Having resources, events, and tasks easy to find while spotlighting programs and services was a must for this electric utility’s web design,” Watson said.
Powerful and Heber Light & Power also worked closely on the website’s content strategy to make important customer information easier to follow. Two visualized webpages, Billing & Payments and Understanding Your Bill, break down detailed information into clear sections. Icons, callouts and simple visuals help customers explore payment methods, SmartHub tools, billing options and line-by-line explanations of common charges.
The website also helps Heber Light & Power share current information related to its Board of Directors. Customers can find upcoming meetings through the Calendar & Events tool, then return to the Agendas & Minutes page for materials such as meeting packets, minutes and linked recordings.

The website rollout marks a timely step for Heber Light & Power as it welcomes the community into its new office. Together, the two spaces reflect the utility’s long-standing commitment to service and its focus on the future.
