Powerful Pledges $7,400 in Support of Washington’s Electric Cooperatives at the WRECA Annual Meeting & Energy Summit
Longtime web solutions partner renews its commitment to the cooperatives and statewide association it proudly serves
CLE ELUM, WASHINGTON — Powerful, which designs and supports websites for electric cooperatives across the country, was proud to join the Washington Rural Electric Cooperative Association (WRECA) for its 2026 Annual Meeting and Energy Summit, held June 9 and 10 at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, Washington. Charlie Stanley, Powerful’s CEO and Chief Web Solutions Architect, attended the gathering alongside cooperative leaders, statewide partners, policymakers, and industry colleagues from throughout the Pacific Northwest.
The two-day summit brought the cooperative community together for timely conversations on the issues shaping the future of rural energy. Sessions covered wildfire reform, the rapid growth of data centers, the next generation of nuclear power, the long-term health of the hydropower system, and the federal and state policy landscape. Speakers included NRECA President Mike Partin, leaders from the Bonneville Power Administration, the Public Power Council, Northwest RiverPartners, and Public Generating Pool, along with Washington state legislators and regional experts. The program closed with the WRECA Annual Meeting and the traditional passing of the gavel.
For Powerful, the summit was a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with the people and organizations at the heart of rural electrification in Washington. Powerful has spent more than two decades serving electric cooperatives and the partners who support them, and is now in the process of transitioning to a cooperative governance model of its own, a step that reflects how deeply it shares the values of the cooperatives it serves. Its presence at Suncadia reflected a long and continuing relationship with WRECA and its members.
Investing in the Cooperative Community
As part of its participation, Powerful pledged a $3,000 contribution to the Washington Electric Cooperatives PAC and contributed an additional $4,400 through bid participation at the event’s auction, bringing its total support to $7,400. These contributions help advance the ongoing initiatives of electric cooperatives throughout the State of Washington and reflect Powerful’s belief that supporting the cooperative community means showing up for it.

Deep Roots in Washington
Powerful’s connection to Washington’s electric cooperatives runs deep. WRECA represents 11 of the 14 distribution electric cooperatives across the state, and Powerful has designed and built the websites for 11 electric cooperatives in Washington, currently managing and supporting the websites for 9 of them. Powerful also built and maintains the website for the Washington Rural Electric Cooperative Association itself, as well as a separate website for the John Irwin Memorial WECPAC Golf Tournament.
That partnership extends well beyond the distribution cooperatives. Among the friends and colleagues in attendance were General Pacific, the Northwest Public Power Association, the Public Power Council, and Northwest RiverPartners, all organizations for whom Powerful has built websites. Powerful was also glad to be in the company of Cooperative Response Center and NISC, valued partners who serve electric cooperatives alongside Powerful every day.
