Powerful & Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative Unveil a Website Design Built on Cooperative Values
VINITA, OK– For Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative (NOEC), a website serves as a direct line to its members. In partnership with Powerful, the cooperative has unveiled a new site designed to strengthen that connection.
The redesign centers on how members interact with the cooperative online. The homepage is organized around common tasks such as paying a bill, managing an account, and checking outage information. These actions appear at the top of the page, giving members a clear starting point as soon as they arrive and reducing the need to navigate through multiple pages.
“The main goal with this website was to create a tool for members to easily complete top tasks and quickly find information they need,” said Stacey Horton, project manager at Powerful. “By going the task-oriented route, Northeast Oklahoma Electric can provide a straight-forward homepage experience that directs site visitors to pay their bill, find outage information, review upcoming events and more.”
The website also includes a Capital Credits Lookup Tool, which gives members a direct way to search for unclaimed capital credits by name or address. This feature places member-specific financial information into a format that is tied directly to the individual, allowing visitors to confirm whether funds are associated with their name.
“Additionally, the team decided to implement a Capital Credits search tool which makes it even easier for members to find out if they have credits available to claim,” Horton said.
Capital credits reflect a member’s share of the cooperative’s margins over time. Presenting this information in a searchable format connects those records back to the individual and supports greater visibility into how those allocations are maintained.
“I think that this new site really reflects the cooperative’s commitment to their members and I can’t wait to see how they settle in!” Horton added.
The design also reflects NOEC’s connection to the communities it serves. A custom illustrated footer highlights recognizable elements from across Northeast Oklahoma, including local landmarks and everyday scenes that reflect life within the service area.
The updated website supports NOEC’s ongoing efforts to provide reliable service while maintaining a strong connection to its membership.
