Powerful Joins Oregon Rural Electric Cooperative Association as an Associate Member

Web design firm behind 12 of ORECA’s 18 member cooperative websites deepens a 12-year partnership with the statewide association

PORTLAND, OREGON — Powerful, the web design and digital communications firm serving electric cooperatives and public power utilities nationwide, has joined the Oregon Rural Electric Cooperative Association (ORECA) as an associate member.

The membership formalizes a working relationship that is already well into its second decade. Powerful has designed and managed ORECA’s website for more than 12 years, and today builds and maintains the websites of 12 of the association’s 18 member cooperatives.

“Cooperatives are in our DNA,” said Charlie Stanley, CEO and Chief Web Solutions Architect at Powerful. “Our organization was founded more than 20 years ago working with a handful of Oregon cooperatives, and that work has shaped everything we have built since. ORECA has always been a collaborative organization, and becoming an associate member is a natural next step in a partnership we value deeply.”

In the coming weeks, Powerful and ORECA will unveil a newly designed ORECA website, the latest chapter in the two organizations’ long-running collaboration.

The announcement comes as Powerful moves through its own transition to a cooperative governance model, expected to be completed in the coming months. Updates on that transition are available at powerful.coop.
