CORNING, AR — The digital divide continues to challenge rural communities—but Clay County Electric Cooperative and Clay County Connect are taking bold steps to close it. With a new, unified website design built by Powerful, the cooperative is giving residents access to both electric and broadband services through one streamlined, intuitive platform—making it easier to connect, communicate, and thrive.
The new site brings both departments—electric and broadband—together under one digital roof. It offers a clear path for members and customers to navigate services with confidence. Visitors can toggle between “Electric” and “Broadband” sections using a department header. This feature makes it simple to explore everything from energy tips and service updates to broadband packages and support—all in one place.
“The Clay County team came with a true vision and clear goals to present their organization as forward thinking, while creating a site that is visually pleasing and easy to navigate,” said Annie Watson, Project Manager at Powerful.
Clay County Electric features the Halsey layout, while Clay County Connect uses Sunnybrook. These blueprints help both teams highlight timely updates, tools, and programs in an approachable and modern way. The design supports content like small business spotlights and scholarship announcements, helping the cooperative communicate clearly and consistently.
“Using the department header package, the Clay County team now has both their electric and fiber sites tied together with one backend making it easy for the team to manage,” Watson added.
The website also includes Powerful’s Rate Plans app. This broadband tool presents internet options in a side-by-side layout with pricing, speeds, and key features. The app helps visitors make informed decisions quickly and confidently. It also supports Clay County Connect’s mission to expand access and close the digital gap across Northeast Arkansas.
“With an emphasis on branding and having online tools easily available, this site is a true showstopper!” Watson said.
