Member Services Take Center Stage in Peace River Electric Cooperative’s New Website by Powerful
WAUCHULA, FL– Member services shape how people interact with their electric cooperative online. A new website for Peace River Electric Cooperative (PRECO), built by Powerful, reflects that focus through intuitive navigation, improved access to essential services, and a design that emphasizes PRECO’s connection to the communities it serves.
The website redesign builds on a continued partnership between PRECO and Powerful, with a shared goal of supporting members through clarity and ease of use. The project centered on how members most often rely on the website, including paying bills, managing service, and finding timely information. The result is a streamlined experience that reflects PRECO’s commitment to serving its members in practical, familiar ways.
“The Peace River team was so fun to work with,” said Stacey Horton, project manager at Powerful. “Their biggest focus on this redesign was to create an engaging site experience that was member-focused.”
That focus is evident on the homepage, where common actions such as paying bills and accessing account information are placed prominently. Visitors can reach these services quickly without navigating through multiple pages or menus.
“We were able to showcase their dedication to the community by bringing top tasks to the forefront and providing easy access to information in a completely revamped navigation structure,” Horton said.
Community identity also plays a visible role throughout the site. A custom illustrated footer features details that reflect PRECO’s service territory, including the Myakka, Peace, and Manatee rivers, along with native landscapes and wildlife. “To bring it all together, their beautiful illustrated footer highlights key features of their service territory,” Horton said, noting that the illustration helps the site feel familiar and welcoming for members.
The homepage also features a video highlighting PRECO’s services, facilities, and team. The video adds a personable element to the site, allowing members to see the people and work behind the cooperative.
“I love the modern and refreshed look of the website,” said Claire Thomas, communications coordinator at Peace River Electric Cooperative. “The illustrated footer and ticker elements add a nice touch.”
Thomas also emphasized the experience of working with the Powerful team throughout the redesign. “My favorite part was how cordial and attentive the team was,” she said. “We made many adjustments, and they were always so eager and accommodating.”
She described the process as smooth and enjoyable and praised the collaboration behind the finished product. “What a ROCKSTAR team you have!!!” Thomas said.
