Central Texas Electric Cooperative Launches First Intranet Designed by Powerful
FREDERICKSBURG, TX — Central Texas Electric Cooperative (CTEC) just took a major step forward in connecting its team– by launching its first-ever employee intranet. Created in partnership with Powerful, the internal platform now helps all 145 of CTEC’s team members stay connected, informed and engaged from the moment they log in.
Spanning multiple departments and offices throughout the Texas Hill Country, CTEC needed a solution that would bring employees together (digitally). With goals to improve internal communication, increase transparency and represent the cooperative as a forward-thinking organization, the intranet was built to be intuitive, organized and engaging from the start.
The homepage greets team members with a clear and welcoming prompt: “What are you looking for?” This search-focused design is part of Powerful’s Tabor blueprint, which prioritizes simple navigation and quick access to resources. Whether employees are looking for internal forms, upcoming events or announcements, the search bar gets them there in seconds.

To support transparency, CTEC’s intranet includes a dynamic resource directory where employees can browse documents by category, displayed as clickable tiles for quick viewing. A digital suggestion box invites staff to submit ideas and feedback—creating an open line of communication between leadership and employees.
The platform also features a modern News & Announcements section that keeps team members in the loop on internal updates and staff milestones. A calendar page highlights upcoming meetings, office closures and volunteer opportunities, ensuring that employees always know what’s ahead.
CTEC’s first intranet reflects the cooperative’s ongoing commitment to its employees—equipping them with digital tools that make their workday easier and more connected.
