Annie Watson’s Co-op Experience Powers Her New Role as Project Manager at Powerful

Annie Watson is no stranger to the cooperative world; she is a third-generation co-op employee with deep roots in the industry. Her passion for the cooperative model is not just a career choice but a family legacy. Prior to joining Powerful, Annie served as the Associate Vice President of Communications for Tri-County Electric Cooperative, where she led numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing member engagement and communication.
At Powerful, Annie’s role as a Project Manager involves overseeing every aspect of website project launches. Her responsibilities include facilitating strategic discussions, presenting project progress to the utility organizations that partner with Powerful, unveiling new websites, and working closely to refine ideas and ensure that each project not only meets but exceeds expectations. Annie’s unique background in cooperatives as well as communications equips her with valuable insights that drive continuous improvement and ensure seamless project execution.

Annie holds two Bachelor’s Degrees in Agriculture Communications & Journalism, and Recreation, Park & Tourism Sciences from Texas A&M University. She is also a Certified Cooperative Communicator and a Credentialed Cooperative Director by NRECA.
Outside of her professional life, Annie’s passion for cooperatives extends into her personal life as well. She is an NRECA Youth Tour alumna, had a co-op and electricity-themed wedding, and is married to a co-op lineman—truly embodying the cooperative spirit in every aspect of her life.
