About
Maura has been a trusted and enthusiastic voice in the utility and energy industries for nearly 15 years. A former employee of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) and South Central Indiana Rural Electric Membership Corporation (SCI REMC), she has helped hundreds of consumer-owned electric companies promote themselves as premier community leaders.
Prior to discovering her passion for the electric cooperative world, Maura gained experience in every facet of the communications field, working as a newspaper editor, internal communications manager, public relations specialist, social media manager, spokesperson, and event planner.
A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Maura enjoys playing board games and video games, volunteering with community theaters, cooking, and baking. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications, a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Business Administration Degree, and a (very local) award for “World’s Best Aunt.”
