Ravalli Electric Co-op (REC) provides energy to over 9,000 members. Before the establishment of REC, 9 out of 10 rural homes were without electric service. Since 1935, REC has been committed to providing electricity to their rural communities. Through the spirit of community, growth and determination, REC continually improves the quality of life for members and local communities.

Streamline Processes

REC approached their website redesign with their members in mind. REC prioritized a website with an enhanced member experience. To do so, REC adopted the utilization of online forms. Transitioning from PDF forms to online forms make it convenient for members to start or stop a service, submit an employment application, apply for rebates, and more. With online forms, the opportunities are endless! Now, members can complete forms at anytime, from anywhere.

Gone are the days of manual data entry and processing. Powerful’s online forms app automates the collection and processing of customer data. Online forms also reduce errors that commonly occur in manual processing. Automatic validation checks ensure that members provide all required information, reducing the need for any follow-up communication. Rest assured, online forms increase accuracy.

Member Satisfaction

REC’s newly designed website offers exceptional online services to its members, building stronger relationships and increasing trust in the cooperative. The modern and functional website meets the specific needs of members, making them feel valued.


REC's outdated website design did not reflect the high-quality services of the organization. To modernize system operations, REC implemented online forms. Since REC employees were accustomed to manual processes, they were challenged to adapt to new technologies and systems.


To overcome technological unfamiliarity, Powerful provided adequate training and support to empower REC employees. REC's team members adapted to the new system quickly. The online process is now fully functional and compatible with existing processes.


REC's implementation of online forms increased efficiency, reduced costs, improved data accuracy, and empowered REC employees to overcome change. As a result, REC provides a positive web experience for members by providing an accessible, convenient, and secure way to fill out important forms.

Our new website not only looks better, but also is easier for our employees and members to navigate! We jumped on the boat of utilizing online forms to help make things easier for our members. We weren't sure if they would use this service, but have found that the majority of new members signing up for service have done it electronically through the website. Our website is now also ADA compliant with all the special features to make it easier for everyone to navigate and use!

Everyone was so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly so it made working on this project an enjoyable experience. I have also been impressed with the customer service after the website has launched, Any issues, corrections, or additions needed to the website have been quickly fixed or answered by the help desk staff. It has made my life so much easier having them to assist when I do not have the time or know how to do an adjustment on the website. They are amazing and I would highly recommend using Powerful for your website services!

It was truly inspiring to work with the Ravalli Electric team as they proved to be incredibly member-focused throughout the website design process.
