Henry County Rural Electric Membership Corporation (HCREMC) is dedicated to providing reliable, safe, and cost-competitive electrical services. In an effort to modernize their member engagement and streamline services, HCREMC partnered with Powerful.
Transforming Operations
A key focus of the redesign was to encourage the adoption of online tools among HCREMC’s members. Previously, member applications were managed through PDF forms. Powerful addressed this challenge by developing an online membership application system that eliminated the need for physical paperwork. This online transformation allows new members to sign up seamlessly, without the hassle of downloading, printing, and mailing forms.
The new system also features automated backend processes that swiftly notify relevant departments, ensuring that new applications are processed quickly and accurately. This significantly reduces the margin for errors and enhances the efficiency of member onboarding.
Promoting Cooperative Principles through Educational Tools
In alignment with the cooperative principle of education, training, and information, Powerful’s redesign of the HCREMC website includes features that create a deeper understanding of the cooperative’s governance and operational areas. A significant addition is the staff directory app, which presents the board of directors in an engaging format, including headshots, titles, district assignments, and contact information. Additionally, a dynamic interactive map (KML map) visually represents HCREMC’s service territory across its nine districts.
The inclusion of these features uplift HCREMC’s dedication to keeping their members informed and engaged.
